BIO

Simon is a multi-instrumentalist, music director / teacher, and an experienced composer / arranger. He is most notably known as one half of the gaming themed acoustic duo "With Ether" with over 10 million views on YouTube. They are acknowledged by the likes of John Romero (Doom), Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), Bend Studios (Days Gone), Capcom (Monster Hunter) and more.

 

Malaysian but born and raised in Thailand, Simon began his musical journey as a drummer and guitarist, earning the Musician of the Year award throughout high school. He continued his studies in the United Kingdom earning a Higher Diploma in Contemporary Music at The Academy of Contemporary Music and later a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from The University of West London. While in the UK he performed at Trafalgar Square, the 02 arena and has been featured as a guest artist at large scale convention events such as Hyper Japan and London Anime Con. Upon returning to Thailand to focus on music education, he then obtained an MEd in International Education from Framingham State University and has solidified his presence as a prominent figure in the Bangkok live music scene.

 

Simon now has over 25 years of music performance, teaching and recording experience. Having already worked on multiple indie developed game titles on the Steam platform, he is determined to further himself in his next major musical foray of composition for video games, film and media.
